Chocolate Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 Sticks Margarine or Butter
  • 1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Chopped Pecans
  • 8 Ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Small Cool Whip Containers
  • 2 Small Packages of Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • 3 Cups Milk

Equipment:

  • Stand or Hand Mixer
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Refrigerator

Pre-Preparation:

  1. Lay out all ingredients/equipment 15 minutes prior to cooking/baking

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, melted margarine, and 1/2 cup pecans.
  2. Mix well and press into a 13 x 9 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350 Degrees for 15 minutes.
  4. Cool completely
  5. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 container of Cool Whip.
  6. Spread over crust.
  7. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  8. Combining pudding and milk.
  9. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes and spread over cream cheese layer.
  10. Return to refrigerator to chill.
  11. Remove from refrigerator to apply a final container of Cool Whip over pudding layer and sprinkle with remainder of pecans.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
