Quick Chocolate Fudge Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (Beaten)
  • 2 Sticks Margarine (1 Cup Butter)
  • 3-4 Tablespoons Cocoa
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla

  • Long Handle Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Oven
  • Stand or Hand Mixer
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Stove
  • Batter Spatula
  • Baker's Joy Baking Spray
  • Sifter
  • 13 x 9 Oblong Cake Pan
  • 2 Quart Saucepan
  • 13 x 9 Cake Taker

Pre-Preparation:

  1. Lay out all ingredients/equipment 15 minutes prior to cooking/baking.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350oF.
  2. In a large bowl, sift flour and sugar together, set aside.
  3. Put margarine, water, cocoa in saucepan and bring to boil.
  4. Pour saucepan mixture over flour and sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Add remaining ingredients, blend until smooth.
  6. Mixture will be very thin.
  7. Spray your 13 x 9 oblong cake pan.
  8. Pour mixture in your 13 x 9 oblong cake pan.
  9. Bake for 20-30 Minutes.
  10. Once cake has cooled, frost cake with Chocolate Fudge Frosting
  11. Store cake in 13 x 9 Cake Taker
